” Feeling gratitude and not expressing it is like wrapping a present and not giving it” – William Arthur Ward

Shabbat Shalom!

The morning after the American Thanksgiving….the dishes are clean, but may still be waiting to be put back in the cabinets; the family from out of town are planning to “hang out” together before they head out in cars and planes to return to their homes either later today or on Sunday; but the gratitude of being with family and our friends that become family is something that should never be taken for granted.

Our lifelong friends, our sisters, in our local sisterhoods, our regions and throughout WLCJ, is something that we should all be grateful for. Our commitment to the worldwide Conservative/Masorti movement, has broadened our knowledge of Judaism and cultures throughout our organization. Because of our friendships we have learned from one another, we have shared the good times and the challenging times in our lives and we are grateful for the support.

This Shabbat, take a minute and be grateful…share your feelings with your “Shabbat buddy”, that person that you sit with every Shabbat, thank the clergy, and be sure to thank your members of your Sisterhood..we need to be grateful every day…not just one day in October or November…we should always remember to “unwrap and share our feelings”.

WLCJ is participating in #GivingTuesday this year. I cannot express my gratitude for Our Communications Team and our Development Team, and our Communications Director for working together to get us this far…and now we need you! Please share the message below, share on Facebook, forward the email….our “sisters” in Eretz Yisroel will benefit and be grateful!

Wishing each of you a peaceful and meaningful Shabbat!

B’Shalom,
Carol
