“You are never too old to set another goal or to dream a new dream.” – C.S. Lewis

Shabbat Shalom!

It is Sisterhood Shabbat season….many of our sisterhoods, during the month of January, take a moment out of our busy and hectic lives, to celebrate “Sisterhood”! We honor our “sisters” for all the work that they do in the name of “sisterhood”. The hours spent planning events, gathering team members, connecting to the women within our synagogue communities. It is the one Shabbat during the year that the entire service is lead by our members….it is the one Shabbat during the year that our members are encouraged to do something new, to step out of their comfort zone. Whether it is doing an English reading for the first time, or having an Aliyot for the first, reading Torah, or participating in a myriad of ways.

Sisterhood Shabbat is our way to express our friendship, our pride and love for one another….one person at a time! Making the time to participate, making the time to learn something new…makes each of us bloom with pride and a sense of accomplishment. Sisterhood Shabbat gives each of us the opportunity to do something new, to set another goal…that next year you will do something new, something that you have never done before.

Wishing each of you a meaningful and peaceful Shabbat,

B’Shalom,
Carol
