July 15 Message

“Honesty and loyalty are key. If two people can be honest with each other about everything, that’s probably the biggest key to success.” – Taylor Lautner

Shabbat Shalom!

During the next few weeks, many of us will be meeting with our sisterhood boards, planning teams and groups of friends…all with the goal of creating programs and events that will be enticing to the women within our synagogue communities. We know that many of our potential members will come because of the speaker, the activity or yes, even the food! However, there is one aspect of this planning that we should not overlook.

What is that you ask? Is it using the resources in our newly updated website? Is it making plans to attend the next Leadership Institute at the end of this month? Or could it be simply using our resources to get ideas for new events?

The answer is yes to all of these questions. Yet…what we should be focusing on are two words……..honesty and loyalty! To make plans for an event are fabulous..but will it keep women returning all year long? Or will the the personal connections, the honest conversations with eye contact mean so much more? Will your “first timers” be able to see the love, friendship and loyalty ….regardless of the event planned?

So…while making your plans for the upcoming year….keep these two words in mind….honesty and loyalty ….as these are what make long lasting connections and successes!

Wishing each of you a sweet and meaningful Shabbat!

Carol
