Value Our Vets Special Chesed Project
In keeping with our tradition of supporting local causes in convention host cities or regions, Women’s League selected as its chesed project for convention 2012 VALUE OUR VETS, a campaign to assist the temporary residents of the Fisher House in West Los Angeles.
Fisher House is a unique project supporting America’s military and their families beyond what is normally provided by the Departments of Defense and Veterans Affairs. Since so many servicemen and women – together with their families – must travel great distances for specialized medical care, Fisher House Foundation has established residences for their use on the grounds of military and VA medical centers. Women's League Bylaws and Resolutions
