Free Trade Area (1984)

A Free Trade Area is an agreement between two countries to virtually eliminate all duties and other trade restrictions between them as governed by international rules of commerce.

Such an agreement between the United States and Israel will strengthen bilateral ties; benefit the American economy by expanding trade and maintaining the position of U.S. exporters in the Israeli market vis-à-vis European competitors; contribute to Israel’s self-reliance and strengthen its economy through increased trade; provide a stable and dependable market for Israel’s exports.

Therefore, Women’s League strongly supports the implementation of a Free Trade Area between the United States and Israel, and encourages its Sisterhoods to communicate their support to their legislators.
